The Kearney R-1 School District is no longer accepting substitute teacher applications for the 2011-2012 school year.

Classified positions include paraprofessionals, custodians, secretaries, library aides, maintenance personnel and school nurses.

NOTE: Food service and transportation are handled by private companies (OPAA and Durham Transportation). See Contract Employment Opportunities for more information.

All those applying for a substitute teaching position must forward the following to the central office along with their application:

• a college transcript showing successful completion of at least 60 college hours
• a copy of a substitute certificate or a teaching certificate, if applicable
• obtain fingerprints through L-1 Identity Solutions by calling 1-866-522-7067 to schedule an appointment
• There is a processing fee of $52.20 to L-1 Identity Solutions
