In order to attend any school within the Kearney R-1 School District the parent, court-appointed legal guardian, military guardian or the student must provide proof of residency in the form of a property tax statement, utility bill/agreement, rental agreement/receipt, legal property description, telephone bill or real estate contract. The Kearney R-1 School does not allow tuition to be paid by non-resident students.

In order to be admitted to the Kearney R-1 School District, a child must be five years old before August 1 of the school year in which he or she plans to enroll. Students are required to present a birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age to determine eligibility, as well as immunization records.
